Our standard tolerance is ±0.005" for non-critical dimensions. We routinely hold ±0.001" on critical features, and can achieve ±0.0005" with CMM-verified inspection and controlled processes. Learn more about our quality process →

We send firm quotes 7 days a week, often within 24 hours. With a 3D CAD model, parts can ship in as little as 3 business days from order; your quote states the ship date for your part, quantity and finish. Outside finishes such as anodize, plating or heat treat add time. Send us your drawings →

We accept:

  • 3D Models — STEP (.stp), IGES (.igs), SolidWorks (.sldprt)
  • 2D Drawings — PDF, DXF

STEP files are preferred for 3D models, but a clear PDF print works great. We can also work from hand drawings.

No. Quantity 1 is welcome, and so are production runs of thousands. When a prototype turns into a production part, we keep the program, fixturing and inspection plan, so reorders repeat.

Yes. We provide full first article inspection reports with dimensional verification on request. Every part is inspected to print as part of our standard process, and formal FAI documentation is available for aerospace, medical, and other regulated industries. See our inspection process →

We list machines by type, not make or model. Our shop runs:

  • 5-axis machining centers with spindles to 18,000 rpm
  • 4-axis horizontal and vertical machining centers, with vertical travels to 64" × 32" × 30"
  • Glass-scale precision milling for tenths-level work
  • Multi-axis mill-turn centers up to 9 axes, bar to Ø3.2"
  • Swiss-type lathes for bar 3–32 mm, and CNC lathes
  • 5-axis wire EDMs with a rotary axis, and surface grinding
  • CMMs with scanning, plus optical measurement
  • Manual toolroom lathes and mills, and band saws

No. Heat treatment (hardening, tempering, stress relieving, annealing and aging) is done through vetted outside heat-treat partners. We verify hardness in-house on our Rockwell hardness tester.

Absolutely. Many of our customers provide PDF prints or hand drawings. We'll review your drawing, clarify any questions, and program the part from your 2D specifications. A 3D model is helpful but not required.

Certified manufacturing (AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR-registered) can be arranged for jobs that require it. Email your drawings and models, with quantities and your target date, to sales@digitalmachine.com or call (805) 697-7829, and an engineer will get back to you. Our contact form is text-only, so keep drawings and technical data out of it.

We machine parts for aerospace, defense, medical, semiconductor, automotive, energy, marine, and general industrial applications. Our quality processes and inspection capabilities support the documentation requirements of regulated industries.

We're located in California. From our California shop we serve customers across the United States, with a focus on California and the West: Southern California, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. Contact us →
